1. Information We Collect

• Email address — used for account authentication
• Chat messages — the text you send to the assistant
• Exchange orders — currency, amount, and bank details you provide
• Device token — for push notifications (rate alerts)

2. How We Use AI

ReadyTravel uses an AI-powered assistant to help you with currency exchange, rate alerts, and trip budgeting.

When you send a message, it is transmitted to our secure backend servers, which relay it to a third-party AI service for processing. The AI generates a response that is streamed back to you.

What is sent to the AI service:

• Your chat messages (text only)
• Conversation context (previous messages in the session)

What is NOT sent:

• Your email address or login credentials
• Bank account details
• Device identifiers or location data

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• AI language model provider — processes chat messages to generate assistant responses. Messages are not used to train AI models.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts our backend infrastructure and user authentication
• Ngau Kee Money Changer Co. Limited — processes currency exchange orders as our licensed Money Service Operator partner

Each third-party provider is contractually required to protect your data to the same standard described in this policy.

4. Data Retention

• Chat history — stored on your device and on our servers for conversation continuity. Server-side conversations are automatically compacted over time.
• Exchange orders — retained for regulatory compliance as required by Hong Kong law.
• Account data — retained until you request deletion.

5. Your Rights

You can:

• Withdraw consent for AI processing at any time by stopping use of the chat feature.
• Request data deletion via your Profile → Delete Account & Data, or by emailing hello@pecutus.com.
• Access your data by contacting hello@pecutus.com.

We will process deletion requests within 14 business days. Transaction records may be retained as required by law.

6. Data Security

• All communication uses HTTPS encryption in transit.
• Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure Keychain.
• Server infrastructure is hosted in AWS with industry-standard security controls.

7. Children's Privacy

ReadyTravel is not intended for use by anyone under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy with reasonable notice. Continued use of ReadyTravel after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the app.
